ISHPEMING ELEMENTARY PARENT GROUP
SCHOOL YEAR 2014-2015
To enrich the learning and teaching experiences of Ishpeming Elementary students and staff by providing safe and fun educational activities, equipment, and supplies through fundraising and parent volunteer efforts.
Our September fundraiser supplies the majority of our income for the school year. From this income, we plan our activities for the school year. We encourage all parents to participate so we can continue supporting our students and staff.
There are various volunteering opportunities this school year. From volunteering at our Monthly Family Nights to carpentry repairs, we need your help!!!
Some of the activities we have sponsored are the Open House, the Harvest Party, Movie Night, Family Dollar Christmas Shopping, Ice Skating, Tubing, March’s Reading Month event, Daddy/Daughter Dance, Mother/Son Bowling, all Class Trips (including busing), and end-of-year picnic (including bounce houses).
All parents are encouraged to attend our meetings, even just one. All meetings are held on Wednesday nights in the Birchview cafeteria at 6:30 p.m. Free babysitting is provided. Our tentative meeting dates for 2014-2015 are:
