Ishpeming High School's Hematite Yearbook staff
receives honorable mention in the National Best
of The Best Yearbook Contest for their 2006
book. Ishpeming was the only school in the
Upper Peninsula to receive honors.
The honor
was in the best story writing category.

and dedication to the journalism process. We

staff really improved their interviewing and

The 2007
spring delivered book will be even more
impressive. The book comes out in May and the
staff is excited to showcase several innovative
techniques they used with regard to layout,
writing and photography. This book's theme is
Balance- Live, Love, Work and Play. Shae Kangas
is the 2007 Editor in Chief, she replaced Kate
Argall. Staff members include Ben Pascoe, Megan
Murphy, Jamie Carter, Ashley Mattson, Victoria
Nault, Eric Mathias, Jamie Isola, Carrie Moore,
Ben Argall, Luke Roberts, Ryan Williams, Mollie
Anderson and Michelle Johnson.
