Dr. Will Keim entertains High School Audience

Students at Ishpeming High School received a special show when Dr. Will Keim appeared at Peterson Auditorium on Tuesday 0ctober 15, 2002. Dr. Keim was in the area primarily for his visit to Northern Michigan University. Fortunately, through a cooperative effort he was able to appear at Ishpeming High School.  His sense of humor could rival any qualified comedian. However, there was an important message regarding serious issues behind every joke. The audience was taken from moments of laughter to utter silence when it was revealed how likely one of their fellow students might need some help. We will look forward to the return of Dr. Keim to our school.

Nationally recognized Speaker heads Leadership 

Conference at Ishpeming High School

Thomas Keating a nationally recognized motivational speaker presented and taught leadership strategies to students from the Ishpeming school district and neighboring districts. Mr. Keating was candid in his presentation of techniques students can use to assume leadership roles. With the major goal of helping students gain control of their well being and in turn helping other students do the same. Mr. Keating's messages were well received and an effort is being made to implement some of his strategies in our district.
