Counselors are available to all students at Ishpeming Public School District. Counselors provide a variety of services to students, utilizing a comprehensive model of counseling and consultation that includes, but is not limited to, Individual Planning (academic coaching, career and college planning activities, scholarships and testing), Guidance Curriculum (classroom/ school presentations, small group counseling), Responsive Services (individual counseling, information and referral, crisis intervention) and Systems Support (staff relations and training, meetings and committees, administrative assistance).
We are committed to positive social-emotional growth and want our students to feel connected to positive peers, adults, and their wider community outside of the school environment, as well as within.
