The Board of Education has entered into an agreement with Great Lakes Radio/ 98.3 FM WRUP to broadcast Ishpeming High School girls’ basketball, boys’ basketball, and football. The Board has named WRUP 98.3 FM as the “Official and Exclusive” radio broadcasting outlet for Ishpeming High School athletics.

A Second Century of Excellence
The Ishpeming School District is a small district located in the heart of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Our current student population grades K-12 is 880. The district consists of one elementary school, a middle school and a high school. Our highly dedicated staff takes pride in offering a challenging curriculum in an environment conducive to learning.
The people of Ishpeming have always desired a quality education for their children. In 1868, a year before Ishpeming was incorporated as a village, a charter to form a school district was granted. This support for education in our community has continued into a second century of excellence. The ongoing mission of our district is to prepare all students to be self-motivated, responsible, and productive citizens in a rapidly changing world.
