A Second Century of Excellence
The Ishpeming School District is a small district located in the heart of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Our current student population grades K-12 is nearly 900. The district consists of one elementary school, a middle school and a high school. Our highly dedicated staff takes pride in offering a challenging curriculum in an environment conducive to learning.
The people of Ishpeming have always desired a quality education for their children. In 1868, a year before Ishpeming was incorporated as a village, a charter to form a school district was granted. This support for education in our community has continued into a second century of excellence. The ongoing mission of our district is to prepare all students to be self-motivated, responsible, and productive citizens in a rapidly changing world.
Are you a prospective student or a parent of one? See what we have to offer! You can also learn about the Ishpeming Parent Network by clicking here. To complete an application for non-resident student enrollment, also known as schools of choice, click here.
