Vicki Jordens, Clinic Secretary

Vicki is the Hematite Health Clinic Secretary.  Prior to coming to HHC, she worked for 10 years as Office Coordinator in an outpatient surgery center in Wisconsin. She also worked for 15 years at Blue Cross Blue Shield of MI. Originally from Marquette, she moved back in 2018 from Northern Wisconsin to be near family. She enjoys cooking, baking, cake decorating and writing children’s books.

Jenny Farnes, RN

Jenny Farnes is the Registered Nurse working in the Hematite Health Clinic.  She is originally from Escanaba and moved to Ishpeming a year ago.  She got her start in the medical field as a Hospital Corpsman in the United States Navy.  Upon discharge, Jenny continued to pursue a career in the medical field.  She attended Bay College and then obtained her nursing degree from Utah State University.  She has worked in a variety of settings and specialties.  Before moving to Ishpeming, Jenny worked for Bellin Health.  She has three children:  Collin 22, Kayla 18 and Carter 16. In her free time she enjoys golfing, running, biking and skiing.

Annie Skewis, DNP, FNP-BC

Annie Skewis, DNP, FNP-BC is a UP native who obtained her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Michigan State University.  She has been providing medical care to Marquette County for 8 years as a Nurse Practitioner.  Primarily taking care of pediatric patients.  Annie loves educating and taking care of children while watching them grow into young adults.  Annie loves spending time at camp on Lake Michigamme, basketball, and being with her family.  Her and her husband have 4 beautiful children, Mia, Faith, Lena, and Eric.  Annie is also CEO of Mia's Wings, a non-profit organization named for her stillborn daughter that helps raise awareness of and support for families going through a stillbirth, miscarriage or neonatal loss.

Eric Turner, LMSW, CAADC

Eric is a mental health counselor. He received his undergraduate degree at Northern Michigan University and his Masters of Social Work at Michigan State University. Eric provided counseling services for Great Lakes Recovery for four years. He also currently works as a private practice therapist in both Ishpeming and Marquette and is a School Social Worker for MARESA. Eric has enjoyed supporting Ishpeming student athletes as both a coach and as a fan in the past and is excited to provide mental health services for the school. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons. He also plays softball, works out at the gym, loves to travel, and heads to the beach whenever he can.
