Ishpeming Public Schools

The Ishpeming Public School District is offering a tuition free Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) at Birchview in the fall of 2023.

The Ishpeming Public School District is accepting pre-registration for their new Hema-Tyke Childcare and Education Center, opening September of 2023.

Hematite fans, it’s with great pride that we announce the creation of the Ishpeming School District’s Halls of Excellence Award. The Ishpeming Public Schools have a tradition of excellence that is unparalleled for a school district of our size. Excellence is the basic DNA of all Hematites and we hope to recognize those Hematites who were exceptional during their years in school or who later in life, added to the prestige of the Ishpeming Public Schools.

IHS Yearbooks are now for sale! The cost of a 2023 full-color yearbook, The Hematite, is $45.00 and will be for sale until February 15, 2023. Quantities are limited, so order yours now! Also, parents of seniors, please see the attached form regarding Senior Baby Ads. Baby Ads are due by Wednesday, December 21st. All senior pictures and senior quotes are due on Wednesday, December 21st as well!

10 Hematites and IHS Teacher Madame Meldrum will travel around France next June to expand their knowledge of culture and geography!
