Annie Skewis, DNP, FNP-BC

Annie Skewis, DNP, FNP-BC is a UP native who obtained her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Michigan State University.  She has been providing medical care to Marquette County for 8 years as a Nurse Practitioner.  Primarily taking care of pediatric patients.  Annie loves educating and taking care of children while watching them grow into young adults.  Annie loves spending time at camp on Lake Michigamme, basketball, and being with her family.  Her and her husband have 4 beautiful children, Mia, Faith, Lena, and Eric.  Annie is also CEO of Mia's Wings, a non-profit organization named for her stillborn daughter that helps raise awareness of and support for families going through a stillbirth, miscarriage or neonatal loss.

Eric Turner, LMSW, CAADC

Eric is a mental health counselor. He received his undergraduate degree at Northern Michigan University and his Masters of Social Work at Michigan State University. Eric provided counseling services for Great Lakes Recovery for four years. He also currently works as a private practice therapist in both Ishpeming and Marquette and is a School Social Worker for MARESA. Eric has enjoyed supporting Ishpeming student athletes as both a coach and as a fan in the past and is excited to provide mental health services for the school. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons. He also plays softball, works out at the gym, loves to travel, and heads to the beach whenever he can.

Nathan Zaremba, LLMSW, CAADC-DP

Nathan is an adolescent mental health counselor originally from Crystal Falls, Michigan. He received both his undergraduate degree and his Masters of Social Work at Northern Michigan University, deciding to live in Marquette after his graduation. Nathan has provided counseling services for Great Lakes Recovery throughout the last year, and continues to facilitate group therapy in the evenings. Nathan has spent the majority of his profession supporting adolescents with individual, group, and family counseling. In his free time, he enjoys many outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, playing softball, swimming, and boating on Lake Chicagoan. He also enjoys reading, traveling to new adventures, sledding, gardening, and building small furniture appliances.
